A long-only system that buys on any of three triggers: a fast EMA crossing above a slow EMA, the MACD histogram crossing above zero, or a bar closing more than 8% above its open. Each trade has a 5% stop and 40% target.

Entry rules, long

  2. The MACD histogram (MACD(12, 26) minus its 9-period EMA) crosses above zero on this bar.
  3. A bar closes more than 8% above its open.
  4. Entries are only taken after 40 bars of history, and only when no long is open.

Exit rules

  1. The position closes only at a 5% stop-loss or a 40% profit target, measured from the entry price.

How to load it

  1. Copy the code with the copy button on the code block.
  2. In ProRealTime, open a chart of the instrument and timeframe you want to test, then open ProOrder > New trading system and choose "Create with programming".
  3. Paste the code, give the system a name and save it.
  4. Click "Backtest", set your own spread and position size, and run it before you consider trading it live.
